Twenty patients who were treated surgically at our clinic for acquired ungual fibrokeratomas from 2003 to 2014 were included. Conclusions: Acquired ungual fibrokeratomas occurred more commonly on toenails than on fingernails and were located in the periungual area in most patients. Limitations: This was a retrospective study of a limited number of patients. After excision, recurrence occurred in three cases. Surgical resection was performed in all cases for both medical and cosmetic reasons. A longitudinal groove was observed in 80% of patients.
